Four attendees of the 2017 Chef to Chef Conference in Atlanta — including Hound Ears Executive Chef Micheal Armes (minute 1:03) — faced off in the Mystery Basket cookoff competition after a full day of educational sessions at the Loews Atlanta Hotel.
The daughter of Director of Golf Peter Rucker, Jordan brings something special to the team at – a legacy of experiencing Hound Ears as a child. Birthday parties at the pool, junior golf clinics and Fourth of July celebrations are among her most precious memories.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina Asheville with a degree in Mass Communications in 2013, Jordan moved to Orlando, Fla. where she worked at several of the theme parks. Her positions included hairstylist at Walt Disney World, videographer at Discovery Cove, entertainment at Universal Studios Orlando, and guest services team captain at the Holy Land Experience.
“We are delighted to present Jordan Rucker to you as our Marketing Assistant, which is a newly created position,” said Don E. Vance, CCM, CPC, Chief Operating Officer/General Manager.
He added: “Jordan comes to us with a wealth of experience. As our membership and marketing efforts have grown, we believe this position, which reports to Jason Reagan, Director of Communications and Membership, will provide us with the opportunity to continue to grow our membership program. Please welcome Jordan, as you will see her out and about the club and community this season.”
Jordan is pleased to return to Hound Ears and the mountains she grew up in. In her spare time, she can be found hiking and creek walking, taking photos of animals and nature, and spending time with her family.
Hound Ears Club is pleased to offer enhanced Associate Tennis Memberships. Players may choose between an annual tennis membership ($600 single or $900 family) or choose a seasonal membership and choose two months out of the year and only pay for those months ($300 single or $450 family for two months)!

Congratulations to Hound Ears member Wayne Schupbach (pictured with General Manager/COO Don Vance, far left; his wife, Janet, at right of center; and Director of Food and Beverage John McManus, far right). Mr. Schupbach won $700 in the Pot of Gold Social Mixer drawing at Mulligans Pub on Friday. Now, the pot goes down to $50 and will build weekly until another member in attendance is drawn.

From Aug. 19-21, 2015, Hound Ears Club was transformed into the bridge hub of the High Country as a three-day Bridge Seminar unfolded in the Clubhouse. Led by world-renowned bridge writer and teacher Barbara Seagram, the seminar has focused on strategy and tactics. In addition to being recognized for her professional bridge teaching business and as co-author of eighteen bridge books, she is most widely known for co-writing with Marc Smith 25 Bridge Conventions You Should Know, which received the American Bridge Teachers’ Association (ABTA) Book of the Year award in 1999.
