Hound Ears Club Played for Pink last week during the Club’s annual Ladies Member-Member Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament ($7,000!) benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as our community continues to support finding a cure for breast cancer.
INTO THE WILD! Hound Ears Club members recently braved the wilds of Valle Crucis to visit one of Chef Micheal’s favorite mushroom foraging spots, to discuss harvesting methods and mushroom identification. The group cleaned and prepared mushrooms and enjoyed the fruits of their labor with a gourmet outdoor meal. Thanks to Bonnie Alter for the photographs.
The Low Country Boil was a success! With a combination of a full swing band coupled with down-home cuisine, Hound Ears Club members were set to celebrate. Click here for a photo album of the event.
From Aug. 19-21, 2015, Hound Ears Club was transformed into the bridge hub of the High Country as a three-day Bridge Seminar unfolded in the Clubhouse. Led by world-renowned bridge writer and teacher Barbara Seagram, the seminar has focused on strategy and tactics. In addition to being recognized for her professional bridge teaching business and as co-author of eighteen bridge books, she is most widely known for co-writing with Marc Smith 25 Bridge Conventions You Should Know, which received the American Bridge Teachers’ Association (ABTA) Book of the Year award in 1999.
