Welcome Food & Beverage Manager Marty Shapter!

imgHound Ears Club is pleased to announce the hiring of Martin Shapter as the new Food and Beverage Manager. Marty brings a vast culinary and front-of-the-house experience to the club.

He earned his culinary degree from Loch-Sheldrake University in New York.

After graduating, Marty gained experience by working in various hotels and eventually transitioned to the country club world and has worked in that area for the past 28 years. His professional experience includes: Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Banquet Service, Front of the House Manager.

Prior to arriving at Hound Ears, Marty served as Club House Manager for Highland Country Club in Fayetteville, NC. He also served as Executive Chef at Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, NC, as well as Executive Sous Chef at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh, NC.

As a leader, Marty has a hands-on approach as a manager and developing member relations.

“I’m delighted to join the excellent Hound Ears team,” Marty says. “The staff and members have already made me feel right at home and we’re excited to kick off the best season ever.”
